Tools: Procreate, Adobe Illustrator
The Gmail team needed a banner illustration for their blog announcing the new product feature which allowed users to join a Google Meet video call straight from the Gmail app. This was around the time where remote work was at an all time high due to the pandemic so it was a very useful and in-demand tool. I sketched up a few variations of how a diverse range of characters could showcase this feature and we landed on a simple one which showed them all within a stylized laptop with the app logos off to the side.
