Tools: Procreate
The Google News team needed an illustration for their Tweet for Women's Equality Day centered around how women officially got the right to vote. I came up with some concepts that had a range of different tones to see which one they would gravitate towards and which visual style they would find appropriate for the theme. They selected one that had a very vintage newspaper comic strip look to fit the era and I created characters that represented women from very different backgrounds. They loved the diversity and inclusion as well as my subtle nod to the Google brand with the choice of spot coloring only the word vote.
